Description

The EA888 cam bridge, also called the valve cover or bed plate on these engines, is one of the most common oil leak points on the VW and Audi 2.0T, and resealing it the "normal" way means fighting the camshafts the whole job. The old shop trick of zip-tying the cams to hold tension is exactly how cams get cracked. This tool gives you a real way to hold the camshaft in place and reseal the cam bridge without removing the timing chains and without risking thousands of dollars in engine damage.

This is our new and improved Generation Two cam bridge reseal tool, redesigned to lock the cams cleanly and make the reseal a controlled, repeatable job instead of a gamble.

How to Use
  1. Align the bridge over the camshaft bearing caps.
  2. Thread the center bolt into the head.
  3. Torque to 30 Nm and rotate the cams to TDC.
  4. Pin the cams with the locking bar.
